Our low carb, no added sugar (also gluten free but without tasting like it) baking mixes give the joy of baking back to families who want to make healthier choices.

About Anna….

Growing up in rural NSW, Anna lived 30 minutes from the nearest town.

Showers were timed and television was a treat. Simple living, resourcefulness and resilience were in her blood, and when Anna moved to Sydney after completing high school, she fell seamlessly into a hospitality career.

Whilst her transition from farm food to fast food may seem like an unlikely journey, Anna fell in love with the high standards, processes, competitive environment and energetic spirit of McDonalds.

After a successful 10 year career under the golden arches, Anna fulfilled her childhood dream of opening a healthy fast food café.

Whole Meal Café opened its doors in Darlinghurst, Sydney in 2010. A strong desire to provide customers exactly what they wanted, and a naturally curious mind, saw Anna create healthier versions of everyday baked goods, such as bread, muffins and pancakes.

Anna successfully ran the cafe for 4 years, before selling to move on to her next business venture.

Armed with both corporate and entrepreneurial success, Anna founded Anna’s Low Carb Kitchen in 2015.

Anna has experienced first hand the benefits of living low carb and is passionate about making low carb easy and enjoyable for others to also experience the increased energy, easier weight loss, mental clarity and a positive state of mind, just as she did.

Anna believes that life is to be enjoyed, and that we can have it all!

Her range of Healthy Baking Mixes was created so people did not have to miss out on baked goodies such as cupcakes, pancakes and cookies whilst living low carb. She also helps to cut through the confusing and complicated mixed messages around sugar and carbs, making it easy for everyday Australians to make the best food choices for themselves and their families.

Joanne Salerno

Joanne Salerno

Coming from an overweight and diabetic family Jo struggled with obesity as a teenager. She decided that she needed to take control of her health, and embarked on a 3.5 year journey to lose 57kg’s and get healthy,

This involved a combination of cutting out a lot unhealthy foods, reducing carbs and exercising.

Educating herself on the value of nutrient rich foods was a key factor.
Throughout this, Jo became passionate about helping as many people feel as good as they can, so they could enjoy life with those that they love.

Joanne started with the business in Customer Service, and due to her passion for Low Carb as well as experience as a Weight Loss Coach – quickly progressed and was promoted to Community Manager.

Brooke Tsekeris

Brooke Tsekeris

Brooke was introduced to baking by her grandmother at a young age, then during her teenage years she realised the importance of nutrition and making healthy choices. This meant lots of experimenting with food and healthy baking options to make tasty, nutritious creations!

Brooke is a foodie at heart, but believes that keeping things in check is important. Making the right choices is key to healthy living. Making healthy food choices wherever possible allows her to treat herself or splurge on the odd occasion!

Brooke loves our baking mixes as she can get her baking fix, without over doing the sugar & carbs.

Brooke joined our team as a photographer & designer and has now further developed into recipe planning & creation!

Kathy Skantzos

Kathy Skantzos

Kathy was diagnosed with late-onset type 1 diabetes at the age of 20. After following the conventional advice of a low GI diet high in wholegrains and fruit for many years (which resulted in a rollercoaster of hypoglycemia and hyperglycemia), she made the switch to low carb and hasn’t looked back since.

She has worked in journalism, media and communications over the past decade, and has postgraduate qualifications in Human Nutrition and Health Communication. She grew up in Perth where she studied Journalism, and has lived and worked in Europe and London.

She is really passionate about food, cooking, nutrition and health. If she’s not in the kitchen baking and playing around with ingredients, she’s visiting farmers markets, reading about nutrition, scrolling through food pics on Instagram, or browsing food blogs. She has joined the team as Communications Manager for the Low Carb Living Group brands.
