Bread! It’s one of the HARDEST things to give up when switching to low carb. This is something that we hear from our community all the time.

We have put together the 5 best low carb bread options available in Australia to help make it easier to find the best one for you and your lifestyle.

The Protein Bread Co – Orginal Bread Mix

  • $12.00 per loaf which is just $1.25 per serve (inclusive of eggs & vinegar)

When made as per instructions and sliced 1cm thick, the bread yields 20 slices. As we use high quality, natural and mostly Australian ingredients, the cost is higher than normal bread (and a lot more nutritionally dense too). Golden flaxmeal, lupinwhey protein, pea protein, almond meal, psyllium husk, linseeds, coconut flour, kibbled sunflower, gluten-free baking powder (bicarb soda, cream of tartar), sunflower seeds, chia seeds, natural flavour (plant extract), salt, water, white vinegar and eggs

  • Super low carb
  • No added sugar
  • No soy
  • Gluten free (no wheat)
  • Can be made vegan (egg free) by using egg replacers
  • All natural ingredients with no nasty numbers or fillers
  • Made with mostly Australian ingredients
  • It’s a really versatile product that can make more than a loaf of bread. It can be used as a crumb for schnitzels, to make focaccias, burger buns, garlic bread or croutons, etc. You can find these recipes here.
