60 Second Low Carb Satay Sauce

(Made in a mug in the microwave)

You can use TOFU (as shown) or any meat that you like!

Same with the veggies – I used Broccolini and Zucchini as that’s what I had but you could also use Broccoli, Cauliflower, Snowpeas, Capsicum, Green Beans etc

60 Second Low Carb Satay Sauce

This serves 1 – simply multiply if making for more people.


Low Carb Satay Sauce




  • 1 heaped TB of Natural Peanut Butter (Crunchy is best)
  • 1 TB of Tamari sauce (GF soy sauce)
  • 2 TB water
  • pinch of chilli flakes.


  1. In a mug stir together: – 1 heaped tablespoon Natural Peanut Butter (crunchy is best) 1 tablespoon of Soy or Tamari ,2 tablespoon of water and chilli flakes
  2. Microwave for 30 seconds then remove and add an extra tablespoon of water.
  3. Stir this really well – the extra water at the end seems to make it nice and creamy and the perfect consistency rather than just adding it all at the start.

Take this to the next level some finely sliced lemongrass is AMAZING but it is optional as it’s not something I really have in the fridge as a staple!

So pretty much just pop the veggies and tofu/chicken in the press toaster (or you could totally stir fry them if at home) then add your satay sauce on top.

You can also buy crushed nuts from the supermarket in the baking section (homebrand is fine) which are amazing sprinkled on top.
