Who hasn’t got stuck into a jar of Peanut Butter with a spoon?

I LOVE peanut butter so I have put together a list of The Best Low Carb Peanut Butter’s for you!!!

Seriously – Peanut Butter on our Low Carb Toast + a Coffee is THE Best Brekkie in the World!

If you’re lucky enough to have a health food shop near you that grinds their own nut butters, I would say this is the way to go. Then you know it’s 100% fresh and pure nuts only. I love About Life in Sydney’s East – however many health food shops have this available.

Our criteria – No added sugar, 10g carbs or less per 100g and highest amount of peanuts

This is my favourite peanut butter!

Pics Really Good Crunchy Peanut Butter

Ingredients:

99.5% peanuts and salt.

Carbs per 100g: 9.6g

Comments:

  • I have to say I was so impressed when I tried it – usually the natural peanut butters, when you open the jar, do have lots of oil on top, however I opened up this jar to find the perfect consistency.
  • It has salt but no sugar – peanut butter needs salt in my opinion and now I don’t have to add it myself!

While not the lowest of the bunch (but ONLY by 0.2g) We have picked this also due to flavour. There may be some of you that prefer no salt which we have listed some of those below. 🙂

Definitely a winner here. 😀

Oh So Natural Whole foods – Smooth or Crunchy

Ingredients:

Freshly roasted peanuts (100%)

Carbs per 100g: 9.0g – Its slightly lower than our top pick, by 0.6g.

Comments:

  • 100% Peanuts – Nothing else. Gotta love that. That being said, those of us who prefer a little salt, may need to add it.  I think it depends on how you are using it. 🙂
  • Found in Aldi

 

Sanitarium – Natural Smooth

Ingredients:

Freshly roasted peanuts (100%)

Carbs per 100g: 9.4g

Comments:

  • 100% Peanuts – cant argue with that, same as above.

 

Sanitarium – No Added Sugar or Salt (Smooth or Crunchy)

Ingredients:

Roasted peanuts (96%), vegetable oils, stabilsers (mono and diglycerides)

Carbs per 100g: 10g

Comments:

  • Great selling point, no added sugar or salt.
  • 96% Peanuts – nearly 100%!

 

Mayver’s

Ingredients:

Roasted peanuts (99.3%), salt.

Carbs per 100g: 13.4g

Comments:

  • Even though this brand goes above 10g per 100g, the peanut % is GREAT, so i thought I would still mention this brand.
  • 99.3% Peanuts – WINNING!!!
  • Per 100g this product is 13.4g carbs, which is the highest of the bunch. However no one really ever eats 100g of peanut butter in one go anyway. 🙂

**In their Total Carbs on their nutritional panel, they include the Dietary Fibre. That is why you see  total carbs show 21.3g per 100g**
